Abstract
Federal police and method find, fix, finish, exploit, analyze, disseminate: Statistical analysis of special operations triggered after method adaptation
The find, fix, finish, exploit, analyze, disseminate method was developed by the U.S. Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism combining operational actions with intelligence actions. From 2018, the Brazilian Federal Police adapted this method to be used in its special judicial police operations, with the purpose of having more objective and aggressive investigations. The objective of this research is to compare the data resulting from the special operations of the Federal Police, triggered before and after the standardization of the method. The scientific hypothesis was that the adaptation of this method for use in the special operations of the Federal Police increased the operational results, positively impacting the number of operations performed, as well as the increase in the number of precautionary measures performed, with positive reflexes in all investigative sectors. A research of an applied nature was carried out, with a quantitative approach, with exploratory and descriptive objectives, having as technical procedures the documental analysis of the data provided by the Federal Police, using descriptive statistics to present the result through tables and graphs. It was observed that, after the standardization of the find, fix, finish, exploit, analyze, disseminate method, there was a considerable increase in the number of special operations performed and an increase in the execution of search warrants, but there was a fall in the number of preventive and temporary arrests and that the increase in the number of special operations did not occur equally.
