Abstract
Nossa pesquisa está estruturada numa parte inicial sobre a colocação do problema, a metodologia empregada e as premissas da pesquisa. Em seguida, teremos que fazer abordagens introdutórias sobre a PF, com breve análise sobre suas origens, sua função de polícia judiciária da União, bem como a política criminal de guerra às drogas e os interesses em jogo na fase inicial da organização, que levaram ao desenvolvimento das grandes operações. Com estas abordagens propedêuticas, passaremos a analisar o surgimento das grandes operações na década de 80, na área de repressão de entorpecentes, com destaque para a Operação Eccentric de 1985, e depois nos crimes fazendários, assinalando que esta fase constitui uma segunda etapa das megaoperações, as quais foram expandidas a partir de 2000. Analisaremos, ainda, o surgimento da doutrina policial federal com suas influências internas e externas, e exploraremos brevemente a repercussão das grandes operações na sociedade, no ambiente político e na imprensa, permitindo, por fim, concluir nossas pesquisas sobre as grandes operações.
