Resumen

En ciencias forenses, huella dactilar latente - IDL siempre ha sido una poderosa herramienta para buscar la autoría de un delito. Hace poco más de 20 años se ha utilizado instrumentación analítica para buscar otras informacións sobre esta traza que sepuedes ayudar en una investigación. Los estudios mediante espectroscopia vibracional lograron demostrar un gran potencial para informar la edad de un IDL, promover contrastes interesantes entre el IDL y la superficie donde fue depositado y brindar información química cualitativa y cuantitativa a través del análisis de sustancias endógenas y exógenas encontradas en IDL como drogas, metabolitos, rastros de explosivos etc.
