Ninidrina ou 1,2-indanediona na revelação de impressões digitais em suportes porosos? Um estudo em suportes celulósicos.
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study sought to experimentally verify the performance of 1,2 indanedione compared to ninhydrin, when developing latent fingermarks on cellulose supports routinely found in crime evidence laboratories. Grading scales suggested in the literature were used to assign scores to the developments carried out, seeking a more objective way of comparing the performance of the development processes. The 1,2 indanedione performed better overall than ninhydrin, and ninhydrin performed better than the process using 1,2 indanedione and then ninhydrin. Attenuation was observed when developing with ninhydrin after the sample had already been processed with 1,2 indanedione, but the attenuation was not considered severe.
