O Controle da Atividade de Detetive Particular pela Polícia Federal como Garantia Fundamental

Abstract
O presente artigo visa a apresentar ao leitor um panorama atual da fragilidade da legislação que regulamenta a atividade de investigação privada por detetive particular no Brasil, bem como dos riscos a que a sociedade se expõe em face do vácuo normativo existente, embora a matéria tenha sido tratada primeiramente pelo legislador no ano de 1957, ainda no governo Juscelino Kubitschek. Objetiva-se ainda chamar a atenção do leitor para a necessidade premente de regulamentação eficaz de atividade tão sensível e capaz de interferir nas liberdades individuais dos cidadãos violando direitos fundamentais relacionados à intimidade, vida privada, honra e imagem, frente ao crescimento vertiginoso do mercado no País, sem, contudo, cercear a capacidade de investigação de outros segmentos da sociedade, a exemplo da imprensa investigativa.
